Olives & Cafe Noir is a quirky and colorful cafe+grocery combo that feels like your favorite thrift store, complete with tapestry grandma couch, mismatched furniture, and funky jewelry that coincidentally matched my nail color to a T. You can even score a decorative pillow that looks like a cute sleepy monster. Located in Rosemont-Petite Patrie, the decor and friendly staff creates an ambiance that feels like home. Though I can only speak for the yummy coffee and pastries, they also serve delectable looking lunch items like sandwiches and soup. And yes, they also have olives and other specialty groceries. It's the kind of coffee shop where you can comfortably post up for hours writing the next Great American Novel (or Canadian) and no one will give you the side-eye.
