As much as I love Montreal, I also love how easy it is to get away. This particular weekend we chose West Bolton, Quebec, about 1 hour and a half outside of Montreal. This town of wheat fields and rolling hills was charming in its own right, but the real attraction was this whimsical renovated church-turned-country house. Strewn with eclectic décor and global artifacts, the house resembled Hansel's loft in Zoolander, minus the orgies and Maori tribesmen.
You better believe I was the first to hop on this swing and pretend I was in Cirque du Soleil.
